REFERENCE GUIDE
A short manual for living with metal.
A quick reference to the materials, finishes, and care that govern every Olivero commission. Print it. Keep it with the case.
01
Metals
14k Yellow Gold
Warm classic tone, ideal for coins and signets; resists tarnish; takes deep engraving cleanly.
Sterling Silver (.925)
Cool, bright finish that develops a soft patina over time. Excellent for relief work and contrast.
Bronze
Honest, weighty, and traditional. Beautifully suited to commemorative challenge coins and ministry pieces.
Brass
Rich golden tone at an accessible price. Often chosen for short-run super coins and edition strikes.
02
Finishes
High polish
Mirror-bright surface — every mark visible. Best on display pieces.
Satin / brushed
Soft directional grain. Reduces fingerprints; quietly contemporary.
Antiqued
Recessed areas darkened to lift relief and engraving.
Two-tone
Selective plating contrast — for example, gold relief on an antiqued silver field.
03
Care
01
Store separately in the supplied lined case to prevent surface contact.
02
Wipe gently after wear with a soft jewellery cloth — never paper.
03
Avoid chlorine, perfumes and ultrasonic cleaners on engraved or oxidised pieces.
04
Send major restorations back to the atelier; we maintain a lifetime service register for every commission.
